Twin Arc Spray Gun Manufacturers

The arc spray gun is also called twin wire arc spray, which uses an electrical arc for metalizing wires. The melted metal is then atomized with compressed air to make a spray stream which applies the coating on the surface of the substrate.

The arc spray gun is often used for Anti-corrosion or engineering coatings, and changing between the two is simple. Arc spray systems are generally examined to be easy to work and further to automate.

We have a full range of arc spray systems for manual and fully automatic/robotic purposes.

Process

Twin wire arc spray coating is the oldest wire arc technique. It needs to transfer the material into a machine as two separate wires. A high positive charge and a high negative charge are applied to the wires. The two wires are progressively fed toward each other at the gun's tip during the deposition method. The critical voltage differential within the two wires generates an electric flow between the wires. This flash dramatically heats and melts the element at the front of the wire.

At the identical time, compressed gas is continuously supplied outward into the tip and then to the surface that the material is to be placed on. The melted metal will be picked up by the compressed air and discharged directly onto the surface. The arc spraying device has an extensive spark trail focused on the coated surface. As the deposited material chills, it gets bonded to the surface. The need to create a potential difference over the wires, this method is essentially utilized for metal coatings.

Advantages of Twin Wire Arc Spray Gun

  1. The wire does not require the use of chemical fuels to heat the deposited materials.
  2. The only consumable that one uses and the wire to be deposited is compressed gas.
  3. All that is necessary to create the heat is the voltage differential powered by a standard electrical outlet.
  4. The wire arc spray process actually uses significantly less electrical power than HVOF.
  5. Only five to ten kilowatts of power is necessary for wire arc spraying, while up to fifty kilowatts are used by HVOF.

Features

  1. Wire arc spraying also delivers the highest deposition rates of any method of thermal spraying.
  2. Material can be deposited on surfaces at rates exceeding 15 kilograms per hour.
  3. The low heat created by the electrical arc spray gun system also is necessary for specific coating applications.
  4. For example, when a coating is applied to printed circuit boards, electronic components such as capacitors have a low tolerance for applied heat.
  5. Twin-wire arc spraying is also very easy to manage. There is minimum training necessary for a worker to start working.

There are also some additional elements that the technique can achieve. One can use two distinct materials for the two wires. This setup can connect a mixing step with the deposition method. For instance, it is not uncommon for steel and bronze wires to be linked in such a manner when covering on bearing surfaces.
